The afternoon of musical delights saw the Jookulele band perform a range of foot-tapping songs for all the residents to enjoy.
Mike Dearn, home manager at Perry Manor, said: “Although we play music in the care home every day, it is always great when the residents have the opportunity to listen to live music at Perry Manor. The performance was enjoyed by everyone, music can be very uplifting for the residents and can create a sense of togetherness.
“You could see from the residents’ faces just how much they enjoyed the live music from the unusual band. The session also fitted really well with our ‘activity based care’ approach here at Perry Manor, which is all about ensuring residents can continue enjoying the interests they have always loved as well as giving people the opportunity to discover new ones.”
