Members of the public are invited to drop in between 10am until 4pm on both days for their first chance to take a tour around the completed care home and to meet the team, headed up by home manager, Anita O’Neill.
On Friday 10th July from 10.30am-11.30am the team at Cavell Court will also be hosting a free event aimed at giving people more information about planning future long-term care. Daniel Kern, financial planner at Ashcourt Rowan, and Christina Stöhr from Cozens-Hardy Solicitors will be sharing their knowledge and providing practical advice, with the information relevant for those caring for someone in their own home or looking at care homes.
Home manager, Anita O’Neill, said: “The team here is very proud of Cavell Court and we are now looking forward to welcoming local people who want to see the high quality, purpose-built care home for themselves. As well as the chance to see the care home and talk to the team, visitors will also be able to get an insight into what day to day life will be like at Cavell Court. They can find out more about the types of activities Cavell Court will offer and they can also sample a typical menu prepared by our head chef.
“From experience we know many families value the opportunity to see their loved ones feeling at home in a brand new purpose-built care home, where they are the first to make the most of the facilities – and we therefore expect interest will be high when we open the doors.”
Cavell Court has been designed to accommodate up to 80 residents, providing a range of services for older people in Cringleford, from residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, to short-term respite and sensitive palliative end of life care.
Created to feel like a home from home, Cavell Court will have its very own cinema, hairdressing salon and coffee shop. There will be plenty of safe and secure spaces for residents and their visitors to relax outdoors, with landscaped gardens, attractive patio areas, and a courtyard.
Each individual bedroom will benefit from an ensuite wet room, together with a flat-screen television, adjustable profile bed, and 24-hour nurse call system.
