Seaside outing brings back childhood memories for care home residents

Residents and Care UK colleagues from Prince George House care home enjoyed a special trip to Felixstowe seafront on Friday 19th June.

Residents enjoyed a fish and chip lunch followed by trips along the promenade, taking in the fresh sea air.

Katherine Foley, home manager said: “We all really enjoyed the trip to Felixstowe, it was a lovely day and it provoked many happy seaside memories for the residents.

“At Prince George House we support residents to get out and about and to continue doing the things they love. There are so many physical and emotional benefits to keeping active and enjoying the outdoors, especially for those living with dementia. Since we all had such a great day at the beach, we’re looking forward to planning more trips like this in the future.”
