Cleves Place was one of thousands of care homes to take part in Care Home Open Day this year, with the aim of challenging perceptions of care homes, connecting residents with even more people in their community, and developing relationships across the generations.
Sharlene Van Tonder, home manager, said: “It was such a great day and we were delighted to see so many local people pop in and see us, including many visiting our home for the first time. It was great to showcase the facilities we have here, as well as strengthen relationships with the wider community.
“We had great fun taking part in this year’s Care Home Open Day and sharing what we can offer, and how we support our residents and their families within the Haverhill community. Residents, relatives, club members and visitors enjoyed a selection of exotic foods from around the world, as well as a salsa dancing demonstration and a singing performance from carer Zoe Turner.”
