The residents had a crafty time using fluffy bunnies and chicks to decorate their own Easter bonnets in preparation for the parade, which took place in the home’s cinema and was followed by a screening of the 1948 classic, Easter Parade.
Pyela Mwale, home manager at Scarlet House, said: ‘Residents and the team had a really ‘eggcellent’ day, it was a wonderful event. Many of residents have lovely memories of celebrating Easter with their families. So as well as being great fun, the Easter bonnet parade was a valuable reminisce activity for those living with dementia.”
