On Thursday 5th March from 15:00pm, Priors House care home will be taking part in ‘Time for a Cuppa’ – an annual event from Dementia UK which is all about bringing people in the local community together, having fun, and helping to raise money for the charity. The initiative also supports Admiral Nurses - mental health nurses specialising in dementia care.
The team at Priors House will be brewing up a storm at the home for ‘Time for a Cuppa’, which will be Alice In Wonderland themed. Visitors are invited to join in and enjoy a leisurely coffee or pot of tea with the residents, along with a tempting selection of cakes – all of which will be available for a small donation.
Julia Joy, Home Manager at Priors House, said: “Here at Priors House, we like to make the most of all opportunities to open our doors and invite people from the local community into the home.
“We’re always trying to think of new ways to support charities and the local community. Dementia UK is a very worthwhile cause and is one that is very close to the hearts of our residents and their loved ones. Everyone at the home is therefore proud to be supporting ‘Time for a Cuppa’. The event is a great way to raise money for the charity, and for the team here and all of our residents to join together for a fun day with family and friends.”
