The hospice was presented with a £500 donation to fund the Christmas dinner at the hospice and provide the patients, carers and family members with a memorable Christmas day.
Care UK supported the hospice to spread care across the community in Cheadle before Abney Court opens its doors in April.
Mark Shockledge, home manager at Abney Court, said: “We’re so pleased that we were able to provide the donation for St Ann’s Hospice and give the patients a Christmas to remember. We’re keen to make close ties with the local community and we were thrilled to have been able to support the hospice in this way.
“I’m looking forward to lending a helping hand and becoming more involved in the local community in the lead up to when Abney Court opens in April.”
Jo Burton, corporate fundraiser at St Ann’s Hospice, said: “As a charity, we rely on the support of the local community to enable us to continue providing our services. We were delighted with the generous donation from Care UK and Abney Court. The money enabled us to provide an unforgettable Christmas at the hospice, which means so much to our patients and their loved ones.”
St Ann’s Hospice provides care for people across Greater Manchester who are living with, or affected by, life-limiting illnesses.
