And with the festivities well and truly under way, local MP Richard Benyon also paid a visit just a few days later to take a look around the care home and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
Home manager Michelle Sides said: “As this is the very first Christmas for Winchcombe Place, we have set out to make it as special as possible for residents, and what better way to do this than to extend some seasonal goodwill to groups and individuals in the local community and involve them in our celebrations.
“The carol service led by the choir from Winchcombe School is just one of several events planned here to capture the magic of Christmas. It was a wonderful event which saw everyone singing along, and helped to evoke some lovely memories for residents.
“We were also thrilled to welcome Richard Benyon MP along to the home later in the week. We’re very proud of the care environment we have created here and were keen for Richard to see this for himself. He took the time to chat to residents and colleagues and we look forward to seeing Richard again in the New Year.”
