Following a 64-week build programme, independent sector health and social care provider Care UK has announced it is on track to create around 100 jobs at Mountfitchet House, which is helping to meet local demand for residential, nursing, specialist dementia, short term respite and sensitive palliative end of life care.
Allison Squires, home manager at Mountfitchet House, said: “The team is thrilled to welcome residents to their new home. Every last detail here has been considered to create a high quality, luxury environment which will enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. From the moment they walk through the door, we do hope residents and their loved ones will agree Mountfitchet House is a warm and inviting home from home, specially designed to meet each individual’s day to day needs.”
Each individual bedroom at Mountfitchet House offers an en-suite wet room, a flat-screen television, adjustable profile bed and a 24-hour nurse call system. There are plenty of spaces for residents and their visitors to relax outdoors, with landscaped gardens, attractive patio areas and a courtyard. They can also enjoy the home’s indoor facilities, which include a cinema room, hairdressing salon and a coffee shop.
Local people are invited to a free seminar at Mountfitchet House on Tuesday 28 October from 11am to 12.30pm, which will provide the opportunity to find out more about caring for loved ones living with dementia. Soon afterwards, on Wednesday 19 November from 2.30pm to 3.30pm, the home will be hosting its official opening celebration, which local people are also invited to.
