Over 80 people including residents, team members, family and friends gathered at the home to enjoy a day of entertainment to recognise a year since the home opened and acknowledge the hard work of team that has made the home a success.
Guests were entertained by Mary Baulle, a puppeteer from the nearby Butterfly Puppet Theatre and local singer Tom Wenlock, who performed timeless classics from days gone by. Memory Lane Picture Show also hosted a range of classic films in the home’s cinema whilst its chef whipped up a variety of refreshments and tasty treats.
Linda Clements, home manager at Brook Court, said: “I’m thrilled so many people came to celebrate the first anniversary and everyone had a great time. People really enjoyed the entertainment, especially the puppets, and were complimenting the chef’s amazing food.
“It’s been an incredible first year at Brook Court and the time has flown by. We’ve achieved a lot since opening and I’m excited to see where the next year takes us.”
