Dementia Expert to Host Seminar at Kidderminster Care Home

Care UK, one of the UK’s leading independent providers of health and social care services, is inviting people in Kidderminster and the surrounding areas to find out more about caring for people living with dementia, this Friday (11^th April) from 11.00am to 12.30pm at its Brook Court care home in the town.

Maizie Mears-Owen, head of dementia care at Care UK, will be joining the team at Brook Court to share her knowledge and provide practical guidance for those caring for someone living with dementia. Maizie will be looking at the realities of the condition, discussing coping mechanisms and tactics for dealing with the associated behaviours.

After the event, Maizie will be on hand to answer any questions and there will be an opportunity for members of the public to meet the carers at Brook Court.

Home manager, Linda Clements, explained why she is opening the doors to Brook Court for the dementia seminar. “At Care UK, we understand being armed with plenty of expert advice and information can make all the difference for those caring for loved ones living with dementia.  By hosting a seminar on the subject, we can ensure this information is communicated clearly and concisely, with visitors having the opportunity to speak directly to the professionals in this area as well as team members from the care home.”
