St Patrick’s day was celebrated all around the world on 17th March and residents of Ogilvy Court joined in the celebrations when staff put on a day full of traditional Irish entertainment and food.
They may have been celebrating ‘The World of Dance' in London's Trafalgar Square, however residents at Ogilvy Court were not only treated to watching the film 'Riverdance', but also a witnessed a live performance of the complicated Irish dancing by a brave member of staff!
Traditional Irish fayre was on the menu with cabbage and bacon served with soda bread and Kerrygold butter proving to be a firm favourite - washed down with Irish cider and Guinness, of course.
Throughout the day, Irish comedy was also on the agenda and local singer, Johnny Moss entertained everyone with Irish songs. Residents also decorated a celebratory cake in the colours of the Irish flag- seen here being cut by proud resident Elsie.
We are happy to arrange interviews with a range of experts, commentary on industry issues and site visits for filming, photography or sound recording. Please get in touch with your requirements and we will do our best to arrange a suitable response.
