People of Gateshead invited to find out more about planning for long term care

Come along and find out about planning for long term care at our free event on Wednesday 26 February from 2pm to 4pm.

We’ve invited Steven Guthrie, financial planner at Ashcourt Rowan, and Helen Miller and Louise Martin, experts in family law from Emmersons Solicitors who are a member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) along to share their knowledge.

Steven will be providing information and practical guidance on funding long term care – whether caring for someone in their own home or looking at care homes, giving attendees the opportunity to find out more about funding options, including state and local authority assistance, benefits and how to make savings go further.  Helen and Louise will be on hand to give in-depth advice on wills, power of attorney and the Court of Protection.

Customer Relations Manager, Justine Conway, explained “We understand being armed with plenty of expert advice and information can make all the difference for those who are planning for the future care of loved ones.  By hosting a free event on the subject, we can ensure this information is communicated clearly and concisely, with visitors having the opportunity to speak directly to the professionals in this area as well as team members from the care home.”
