On Thursday 31st October Cheviot Court celebrated Halloween in style, by hosting their very own Halloween party. This was a fun filled event, which saw residents, relatives and staff all join in and take part. Staff dressed up in Halloween costumes and decorated the home, giving a spooky feel to the home.
The residents also got involved by wearing masks and having their faces painted. An entertainer visited the home and serenaded residents with a variety of songs from the 1960s and 70s. The kitchen provided a Halloween themed buffet and baked cakes in the shape of bats and Frankenstein finger shaped cookies. They also prepared a watermelon in the shape of a broom.
The afternoon was also combined with the donation of a cheque for £100 to St Claire’s Hospice. Cheviot Court has recently been awarded a £100 prize for taking part in the Care UK ‘Over to You! Survey’, a survey which gains a true insight into the opinions of Care UK employees. The team at Cheviot Court decided to donate our £100 prize to St Claire’s Hospice as they felt this was such a worthwhile cause. Along with the cheque, the team at Cheviot Court also presented a bouquet of flowers for St Claire’s Hospice to enjoy.
