A spooky day of free fun for the family, at Care UK’s Hadrian House care home, will raise goosebumps and funds for Macmillan Cancer Support on Thursday 31st October.
At 10.30am, visitors to the home in Garden Street, Blaydon, will have the chance to meet some creepy insects, spiders, snakes and lizard. Manager Rosalyn Walker said: “We hope our younger visitors will particular enjoy this crawly half term treat and our residents are looking forward to seeing what they make of the visitors brought along by Blaydon Exotics”
From 2pm there will be a film show of a classic horror film and from 5pm there will be a Halloween-themed buffet including spooky punch, scary spider cupcakes and green spider jelly.
Throughout the day there will be a tombola, raffle, spooky nail painting, a Halloween children’s craft area, book stall and jewellery stall, all raising funds for the charity that supports people with cancer and their families.
Rosalyn said: “Macmillan Cancer Support is a wonderful organisation that gives support to so many people in our community. We hope that Halloween will be a great day of family fun that helps a charity close to our hearts.”
