Free family fun fete at Hull care home

The residents and team at Care UK’s Sunningdale care home in Hull, will be holding their annual fete on Saturday 14th September and they are inviting the local community to join them for an afternoon of fun.

As well as live entertainment and refreshments, there will be stalls selling cakes made by the kitchen team and supporters of Sunningdale Court. There will also be a tombola, raffle and bottle tombola.

Manager Linda Portlock said: “We are expecting it to be a great family afternoon of fun. The residents are looking forward to welcoming their visitors, and their relatives will be joining our team members in running the stalls.

“We have great links with two primary schools – the children regularly visit Sunningdale Court to sing, read poems or put on plays. In return, residents go to the schools to judge competitions, sit and watch activities or talk to the children about their childhood experiences. So we hope to welcome old friends as well as new for our event.”

Sunningdale Court offers personalised residential, respite and nursing care for older people, including individuals who have physical disabilities. It also provides sensitive and supportive end of life care.

Entry is free and the fun runs from 2pm-4.30pm at the home in Birkdale Way, Hull.
