The Care Fee Seminar will be led by John Hutton-Attenborough, a financial adviser approved by the Society of Later Life Advisers.
He will be talking about funding for long term care, both at home or in a home, the statutory benefits available and about the Carers’ Support Bill.
The seminar will be held at Heather View, a Care UK home, in Beacon Road, Crowborough, and will run for about an hour from 11am on Saturday, August 24. Refreshments will be offered by the home before and afterwards and there will be an opportunity to meet and chat with staff there.
Those attending will also be given the opportunity to arrange private 45-minute appointments with Mr Hutton-Attenborough to talk over their own circumstances and options.
Mr Jason Cunnington, customer relations manager at Heather View said: “Many people worry about running out of funds for care whether they are at home or in a home. This seminar will help by setting out some options for covering the costs of care for a lifetime.”
*Heather View offers the highest standards of residential, nursing and respite care for older people. Specialist care is also available for people living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.
The event, which runs from 11am to 12 noon and is free but places are limited. Anyone interested in attending should contact Jason Cunnington on 01892 653634 or e-mail Jason.cunnington@careuk.com
