Fun, games and the chance to stock up on last minute treats awaits visitors to Care UK’s Terrace care home in Richmond on Saturday 15th December.
Residents at the Maison Dieu home, in Richmond, are making cards, crackers, Christmas trees and gifts for their stalls and getting ready to welcome visitors to their fair that runs between 2-5pm.
Activities Coordinator Sylvia Payne said: “We have some very talented residents who are creating some beautiful things. We also have some fun games including ‘water into wine’, where people pick a bottle which may turn out to be water or wine, and the mystery box where people pick one of 30 keys, but only one opens the box and reveals the prize.”
There will be a chance to win a Christmas cake in the ‘guess the weight’ contest, a tombola and a very special raffle that includes a bumper hamper, Christmas cake and some very special cuddly toys.
As well as refreshments, visitors will also be able to enjoy entertainment from local singer Freddie Briggs. Sylvia said: “There’s going to be a whole heap of seasonal fun and no entry fee, so come along and join the team and the residents in our winter wonderland.”
