Think pink and help us raise money for breast cancer charities

Ventress Hall will be getting into the pink for a fundraising day at the end of October.

The home will be raising money for two breast cancer charities on Friday October 26 with lots of activities, cake, and competitions.

During the day, there will be a Wear It Pink event for the charity Breast Cancer Campaign as well as a pink raffle – with pink tickets and all pink prizes and, as well as other pink cakes, the kitchen team will be creating a stunning pink ribbon cake which will be a raffle prize.

Activities Coordinator Sarah Waggitt, who has had her own battle with breast cancer, organised the event with her fellow Activities Coordinator Sandie Flinn. Sarah said: “Everyone is looking forward to it and I predict we will see lots of pink pyjamas and costumes as well as lots of fun.”

In the evening Sarah has organised a Go Pink event, for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, with her fellow team member and cousin Helen Baker. The event, which includes a pub style quiz, is open to all residents, their relatives and our friends in the community.

There will also be a mystery box competition – choose a box and take your chance on the prize!
