Residents, visitors, relatives and staff celebrated The Queens Diamond Jubilee in style.
The typical British weather was not going to stop us so in true patriotic style the home was transformed to hold an array of `indoor street parties.
The day started with a traditional full English Royal Breakfast.
During the morning residents, relatives, visitors and staff decorated the long tables, sang typical `British songs, and exchanged memories of The Queen, and past Royal celebrations.
The menu for our Jubilee Lunch was chosen by residents during a residents meeting as they remembered `Pie & Mash or Bangers & Mash followed by Gateaux and Cheesecakes.
After an afternoon of `traditional games, singing and dancing there was a celebration banquet buffet.
To our surprise we even had a `special` visit from the Queen herself (see picture) and we also had a visit from our own `Monarch`Karen Seabrook (Regional Director for Surrey) who thoroughly enjoyed taking part in our celebrations.
A big thank you to our activities co-coordinators, staff, relatives and visitors who made the residents feel very special and made the day one to remember.
