Following an unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) recently, we are delighted to report that Heather View was found to be fully compliant with government standards.
As independent regulator of all health and social care services in England, the CQC’s job is to make sure that care provided by homes like ours (as well as care provided in other care settings) meets government standards of quality and safety. These are:
During their visit to Heather View, the CQC inspectors took a good look around, talked informally to staff, residents and their relatives and examined our home’s administrative systems and processes. They found Heather View to be fully compliant with CQC standards and no special recommendations for further improvements were made.
Although we’re delighted to hear we are fully compliant with CQC standards, it goes without saying that we intend to continue to make improvements to the way we do things here at Heather View in the coming months. This will ensure we not only meet quality standards but surpass them.
