Spring fun as Kenilworth care home opens its doors to visitors

Residents at Care UK’s Kenilworth Grange are getting ready to welcome visitors to their annual Spring Fayre on Sunday 27th May.

The fun-packed afternoon will include a children’s fancy dress contest to be judged by the residents, entertainment from local ukulele group the Spa Strummers, cake and book stalls, a tombola, raffle and refreshments.

Activities Coordinator Julie Packer said: “One of our most popular stalls is a craft stall full of creations made by our very talented residents.

“We have bird houses, decorative greetings cards and some beautiful knitwear created by Mrs Kath Wagstaff. She is very talented and dedicated and as soon as one fayre finishes she starts knitting away for the next one.”

The fun, at the home in Spring Lane, Kenilworth, runs from 2.30pm to 5pm and will be opened by Deputy Mayor Councillor George Illingsworth.

Kenilworth Grange Manager Margaret Mcatamney said: “We have a lovely home - residents really enjoy showing it off to visitors and as well as meeting new people. We are very much a part of the local community and we all look forward to our fayres and open days.”
