Flower cart collection for furry friends

Residents and staff at Station House have converted an old flower cart into a food collection point for animals at a local sanctuary.

The cart, which was donated for the garden last year has been decorated and a sign has been put up asking for donations of pet food or money which will be taken to the Stapely Grange animal sanctuary in Nantwich.

Activities co-ordinator Gillian Capewell said,: “We are very animal centred here. We have a dog, Socks, at cat, Jess, five fish and two guinea pigs which the residents love and which are very therapeutic.

“We have got quite a good collection already and when we are ready, we will take some residents t the sanctuary to deliver the food.”
