Residents at Care UK’s Norfolk House care home are opening their doors to their local community to raise money for Dementia UK as part of Time for a Cuppa day, on Monday 27th February.
Time for a Cuppa is about bringing people together across the country to hold an event at home, in the workplace or in the community to help raise much-needed funds to support the work of Dementia UK, a charity dedicated to improving life for people with dementia.
Norfolk House manager Tasneem Bhatti said: “ We will be laying on tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits along with a raffle and entertainment
We have publicised the event in our local community and carers, friends and relatives have all been invited so we are hoping for a good turnout as we want to raise as much as possible for Dementia UK which is a very good cause.”
The afternoon tea event is also intended to raise awareness of issues surrounding dementia.
The Time for a Cuppa event will be held in the home’s upstairs activity lounge between 2pm and 4.30pm on Monday February 27th.
