Through fun and interactive activities, we’re encouraging teachers to facilitate lessons where primary school children and older people, including care home residents, come together to explore topics like biodiversity and climate change, and discover how everyone can contribute to making a positive difference.
Addressing environmental challenges is more important than ever. Generations of Change brings together the experience of older generations and the creativity of younger ones, while also building stronger connections and supporting the wellbeing of everyone involved.
Generations of Change offers a range of educational packs that include environmentally focused activities designed to suit all ages and abilities. Each pack focuses on a different environmental topic, featuring fun experiments, creative art projects, and opportunities for knowledge sharing. Some activities are outdoor based, while others can be done in the classroom or during planned visits to your local care home.
There’s no need to complete every topic or activity – we encourage you to choose those that best fit your needs, time, and resources. Whether you take part in one activity or several, your involvement makes a meaningful difference.

We’re excited to see how you’ll make Generations of Change your own. Have you created a garden that’s buzzing with life? Or maybe you’ve created some vibrant artwork projects that demonstrate how a healthy and diverse ecosystem should look. Perhaps you’ve gone on nature walks, learning about the importance of pollination and impact of pollution, or even organised litter picks in the community to keep your local environment clean? Whatever it is – big or small – we’d love to hear about it.
By sharing your story on social media with the hashtag #GenerationsOfChange, you can inspire others, highlight the incredible things being done in your community, and encourage others to join in too.
