At Care UK, supporting colleagues who want to give back to their community is a top priority.
Care UK’s matched funding scheme meets colleagues’ fundraising efforts up to £1,000 for UK-based charities. This ensures that we support charities in the areas in which our homes operate, as well as donating to national causes.
The team at Blossomfield Grange in Solihull, are one of the many Care UK homes who regularly donate to charities close to their hearts. By working together, and involving residents, their relatives, and the local community, they’ve been able to raise an incredible amount for a local charity, their local branch of Age UK.
Across the year of 2024, the team at Blossomfield Grange have held various events to bring together the local community, and to raise money for a good cause. From lunches to cake sales, quiz nights to handbag raffles, and seasonal fares – the home team have made a huge effort to help families supported by Age UK in the Solihull area.
Age UK is a charity dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life. They encourage others to believe that ageing is not an illness, but it can be challenging. Age UK provide services and support at a national and local level to inspire, enable and support older people. They stand up and speak for all those who have reached later life, and also protect the long-term interests of future generations.
