Care UK’s ‘Very Good’ care home in Colinton receives £400,000 refurbishment.

Residents at a care home in Colinton, Edinburgh will soon be able to enjoy newly refurbished, luxurious facilities following a £400,000 refurbishment.

Care UK’s Cairdean House, on Redford Road, is currently undergoing a refurbishment which will see the revamp of already-quality facilities throughout the home.

Cairdean House care home offers 90, fully furnished en-suite rooms and boasts luxurious, accessible facilities for residents and their families to enjoy, including its very own cinema, hair and beauty salon, café, landscaped gardens, and activities room for residents to continue enjoy much-loved hobbies.

As part of the refurbishment, Cairdean House’s café with tranquil terraced seating area will also be beautifully decorated, with comfortable new seating and a retro kitchenette, fully equipped with everything residents need to whip up their favourite snacks with the help of the dedicated lifestyle team. There’re always delicious, home-baked cakes available in the café for residents to enjoy with friends and family, and we’re often welcoming in the local community for our free, informative events.

Residents residing on the Calton or Allemuir Wings will enjoy freshly decorated bedrooms and communal areas, with artwork inspired by their local community. New carpets and a fresh coat of paint will elevate the home’s lavish surroundings and maintain a light, fresh feel to living areas.
