Join our team and you'll have the chance to get creative in the kitchen while cooking up nutritious, well-balanced meals that have a direct impact on residents’ health and wellbeing.

Many catering colleagues join us from restaurants or hotels where they’re used to working long hours late into the night. In a care home, you’ll work more sociable hours, and you’ll also have the opportunity to build relationships by getting to know residents and their tastes and preferences. This is a role where you can really make a difference.

Trusted to care

A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.

I’ve been a Home Manager since 2007 and have achieved my Level 4 Leadership and Management qualification as well as leadership in dementia accredited by Worcester University.

I worked for another large organisation previously, and I liked the structure and support that I received. I felt that Care UK was a perfect fit for me, and I really took on board the Care UK visions and values.

I believe it’s important for a Home Manager to be patient, kind, and have good communication skills. You need to work with the team to provide the best possible care for residents within the home and improve the team’s skills to provide a pathway for progression.

I love spending time with residents, and I feel proud when I see they are happy and well cared for. The most important part of my role is to ensure that residents are safe and well cared for and that the home is maintaining quality in line with CQC regulations.

I enjoy mentoring colleagues and supporting them to succeed in their careers. All the Team Leaders at Station House have progressed from being a carer, and I enjoy seeing them grow and develop. I feel happy when I see that the team is ahppy and working together as a team.

I also feel proud when the home has positive feedback from residents, relatives and visiting professionals.
