The Role

Providing outstanding leadership for care staff
Supporting residents with a range of complex needs and dependency levels
Provide clinical nursing to residents including medication management, infection prevention and control procedures, e.g. wound care, catheter management
Continuously strive towards ensuring clinical excellence within the home
Developing tailored care plans to delivering excellence across everything you do

About You

An NMC Registered Nurse
Understands clinical assessment tools like Waterlow and MUST
Experienced in writing comprehensive care plans

As Home Manager, my role is to deliver consistently high levels of care. I also think it is important to make sure colleagues feel heard and valued.

I have varied experience and qualifications including a degree in maths and statistics, expertise in financial modelling streams and I’m a registered nurse. As home manager I get to put all my skills and knowledge to good use every day.

In my role, you need to be passionate about caring. You also have to be friendly and genuinely enjoy being with people and working as part of a team. Care UK’s values: Caring, Passionate and Teamwork underpin everything we do. Care UK is also an organisation that encourages career growth, and for me, working for the most awarded care home provider is a real career highlight. One of my favourite parts of the day is the time I spend with residents, their families and colleagues – and anyone else who pops in for a chat. Everyone has a story, and I love listening and finding out more about people.

In my free time, I adore exploring the seaside and travelling. I also enjoy taking walks and being with my family.
