The Terrace

Welcome to The Terrace

At The Terrace we provide a range of quality care services for older people in beautiful surroundings. Our skilled and experienced team offer permanent and short term residential and dementia care.

The Terrace is a Victorian building and retains its ornate stonework and high ceilings. Each bedroom is different: some are very spacious, some offer fantastic countryside views while others open onto our gardens and have their own patio area.

There are also different communal spaces where residents can socialise with friends and visitors, take part in activities or spend some quiet time reading and relaxing. We even have a bar and our own hair salon. Our gardens are a big feature of our home, perfect for the summer.

The Terrace is officially a ‘Veteran Friendly Framework’ accredited care home, recognising our best practice and highest standards of care for the Armed Forces community.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

At The Terrace there's always a choice of activities for residents to enjoy. We organise everything from quizzes and baking to arts and crafts. And if your loved one wishes to, they’re welcome to pop into town to go shopping, we’ll support them to do whatever they wish.

The dedicated and experienced team at The Terrace will provide your loved one with care that is completely tailored to their individual needs and wishes.

 

My approach as a manager is to make sure every resident is cared for in the same way that you’d care for a member of your own family. I spend as much time as I can with residents, chatting with them in the lounges and dining areas. I have a policy that I spend some time every morning saying hello and catching up with everyone before I get stuck into work.
