Our award-winning approach to care is based on best practice guidelines and the latest evidence

Award-winning care

At Care UK, we are proud to be the most awarded care home provider for the last three years, and to have some of the highest achieving regulatory ratings in the sector.

As one of the UK’s top care home providers, it should come as no surprise that our teams enjoy an award winning training and induction programme and that our care is built upon the latest academic research, best practice evidence base and technology and innovations. This supports our teams to deliver excellentpersonalised care.

We continually strive to improve our expertisemaking sure all residents get the most out of every day by having fun, staying safe, and keeping as healthy and active as possible. These high standards are clear in the care we provide, as demonstrated by our excellent regulatory ratings across the UK.

Quality assurance and training

Our dedicated teams are trained to provide high standards of care. All Care UK homes are subject to regular review and compliance checks by our independent quality assurance team. Their reviews mirror those of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England and the Care Inspectorates in Scotland and Wales, having been designed to keep those living in our homes safe and happy, and surpassing the care standards set by the national Care Acts.

We are committed to the ongoing development of our colleagues, and we support team members to build on their clinical knowledge. The training we provide ensures care and nursing professionals can respond to residents effectively, whether they are living with dementia, have high-level nursing needs or require compassionate end of life care.

Collaborating with experts in care

At Care UK, we value expertiseWe’ve launched partnerships with leading universities and organisations to ensure that the care we provide reflects the latest research and is backed up by experts in the field. All c

We have close relationships with:

  • The University of Worcester – Helping us to deliver the highest quality dementia care thanks to a successful long-term partnership with the university’s Association for Dementia Studies.
  • Namaste International – We have adopted Namaste care in our care homes to provide specialist care for those living with advanced dementia or approaching the end of their life.
  • Queen’s Nursing Institute – Our Head of Nursing, Care and Dementia Care, Suzanne Mumford, has received a prestigious award from the QNI for outstanding nursing achievements, and several homes are working with the institute to address reversible hearing loss and create a therapeutic garden space for residents. More of our nurses are applying for the honour of being a Queen’s Nurse, an award that each year is given to a relatively small number of nurses nationally.
  • The Gold Standards Framework – A number of our homes have received accreditation, meaning we know that we offer the highest standards of care to people at the end of their life.

We also work in partnership with local healthcare professionals, such as GPs, hospitals, hospices and community medical teams such as physiotherapists and speech and language therapists to ensure residents receive the care they need.

With well-trained teams working together, residents are empowered to live meaningful lives in Care UK homes.
