Welcome to Haven Lodge

At Haven Lodge we offer a warm, friendly welcome by the sea and care that’s fully personalised to your loved one’s needs and tastes.

Haven Lodge is close to the seafront in a quiet residential cul-de-sac in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. Our friendly and skilled team provides nursing, respite and end of life care for older people, including those who are living with different forms of dementia.

Our two-storey home is light and spacious, and each bedroom is stylishly furnished and has a 24-hour nurse call system and a television connection. There’s a dining room and lounge on each floor, plus a conservatory. Our large, secure gardens have raised flower beds and an attractive covered seating area.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

Their capabilities are amazing… our loved one can't walk or talk, but the staff are able to engage with him, and they are so patient and skillful in their work. They let us know what is going in the home and how our loved one is getting on. They are always on the lookout for him... they are amazing!

When we visit the home it is always very clean and tidy. There are always decorations up according to the season of the year, and they get the residents involved in decorating the place... my loved one loves helping with that. There are photographs of the residents around... the place always feels cheerful, it's a happy place, really a home from home.

I am very happy with the staff, very friendly and very caring. If they think my loved one is feeling a bit lonely one day they make time to sit and talk with her. She has a good sense of humour, and they joke with her. She can get quite stressed about some of her physical symptoms and they are able to help her calm down. If there is something on the menu she doesn't like, they make something else for her... everyone is so kind and thoughful.
