Read moreHere are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at Bowes House care home.
It's a bright and inviting environment and they maintain a lovely, happy atmosphere... when you walk in you feel so welcome and at home.
Relative of a resident, March 2024They have a dedicated lady who arranges activities for residents. There is always something going on and the residents can choose if they want to be involved or not. It is extremely well organised and well attended and they have a good variety of things from day to day... there is live music with a singer, they can dance or listen to the music... they have barbeques and tea parties... games and quizzes... there is something for everyone!
Relative of a resident, September 2024The care and attention that my loved one receives is fantastic! They know her personally. The staff are always engaging with her, cuddle her... if there is music they will dance with her. The care and attention she receives from the staff is above and beyond.
Relative of a resident, September 2024The menu is varied and the food is nutritious and tasty. I've eaten there a couple of times myself and was impressed! They cater for special dietary requirements and if the residents want something that is not on the menu they do their best to provide it for them.
Relative of a resident, March 2024The care staff understand my loved one's needs. They respect her limitations, whilst still encouraging her to be self-sufficient as much as she can.
