Whether you’re just starting out in your career or are looking for a fresh challenge, we know that the hiring process can be intimidating. We want our recruitment experience to be a positive one, no matter the outcome.
To give you a better idea of our recruitment process, we’ve outlined the steps we take below. Please note that your experience might differ from this depending on the role you’re interested in.
If you're interested in a role at Care UK, that's great. You'll need to submit an online application via our website in the first instance. Online applications should be supported where possible by a CV and any relevant supporting documentation where required. Once submitted, you'll receive an email confirmation detailing your application.
Recruiting people who share our values of Caring, Passionate and Teamwork is important to us, so we’ll give you a call to learn more about each other.
If you're shortlisted for an interview, our team will contact you to arrange this. We will support you through the process, providing you all the information you need. In order for the process to run smoothly, positively and efficiently, it's important you read and follow any instructions provided. It’s our chance to get a better understanding of each other, and to give you an opportunity to learn more about the role and what it’s like joining the Care UK family.
For certain roles, like those in our Support Centre or Leadership roles, presentations may also be required.
If you require reasonable adjustment within this or at any point in the recruitment journey, please let us know and we will endeavour to make the process as accessible and as fair as possible.
The outcome of your interview will usually be confirmed within three days of your interview. If successful, we will make you a verbal offer and you will be sent a formal offer and contract agreement.
If unsuccessful, feedback on your interview and assessment will be provided by the hiring manager.
As part of our compliance process, further information and documentation is needed before starting. This includes Care UK carrying out a Police/Criminal Check, gaining references from previous employers, as well as documenting Right to Work in the UK and an occupational health assessment. We are experienced in this process and are on hand to support you with what’s required.
Once you are in the onboarding process, you will begin to receive messages and notifications in the form of SMS messages or emails. These messages give you an insight into what you can expect from joining Care UK.
They will inform you about Care UK Perks and benefits, information about the home you are joining if relevant and some videos showcasing what our colleagues say about what it’s like working for Care UK. There will also be the opportunity for you to provide feedback at various milestones after you have started. Please ensure you give us your valuable feedback so we can continually improve.
As soon as we have all the information needed we will contact you to agree a start date and officially welcome you to the Care UK family.
