Tor-Na-Dee is a beautiful care home that provides a wide variety of care services for older people, from residential and nursing care through to short-term respite and specialist dementia care. We also offer supportive and compassionate palliative and end of life care.

Residents have the freedom to enjoy the shared living spaces, where they are welcome to relax, read or even take part in an activity. Our wonderful gardens are a focal point of the home, with a courtyard, patio, summer house, attractive lawns and a wildlife area. At residents’ request, we even adopted some chickens, which residents help to care for.

Care UK is the top-rated private care provider in Scotland, according to The Care Inspectorate. We have the highest percentage of Excellent and Very Good–rated homes amongst our private competitors, with 100% of our homes achieving Excellent, Very Good or Good ratings.

We are proud to be accredited with the Gold Standards Framework Care Homes Programme. This demonstrates our skill and commitment to delivering high quality, person-centred care to residents at the end of their life.

At Tor-Na-Dee we support residents to carry on doing the things that are important to them, so that they can stay as active and independent as possible. We always involve residents in decisions about their care and the life they want to live at our home.

I'm a very positive, driven person and always aim to do the best I can for residents and the home. I love to see that residents are well looked after and that they feel happy and contented. And it's reassuring to know that residents' families are really pleased with the care that we provide.

I can't think of any cons. The staff are attentive and kind, they look after my loved one well. It's a nice place with good facilities. She's happy, secure and safe, and those were really the main concerns I had for my loved one.

Everyone is very friendly towards my loved one, she has a unique character, and they all know her and her ways… they have her best interests at heart. They get her involved in things. There are a lot of activities and entertainment for the resdients and it's pitched at the right level. I've seen her dancing on facebook and they have all sorts going on, they take them out for the day... I think it's perfect.

My loved one has dementia, quite advanced now, and the way they treat him is remarkable; they don’t treat him differently to the other residents, they always speak to him in a lovely tone of voice and treat him with the utmost respect. They are very experienced in how to support people living with dementia... they have understood how to adapt my loved one's care at every stage.

Our decision to choose Tor Na Dee was based on two main points. Firstly and most importantly, we immediately felt a level of warmth and engagement from all the staff we met on our initial visit. As we were shown around, everyone we met greeted us warmly and my wife, herself a Medical Practitioner, noted that the staff were professional and competent. Secondly, my mother's room was large and well equipped but also managed to retain a level of character and homeliness.

Staff there are exceptionally kind and considerate. They listen to me and my family about my mother's care. I have observed how respectful and caring they are with my mum and other residents.
