Welcome to Tiltwood

Tiltwood is a family-oriented and welcoming care home in Cobham, Surrey. We provide personalised residential and respite care for older people, including those who are living with dementia.

Part of our building dates to Edwardian times, which gives the home a sense of character. Your loved one’s bedroom will be bright and comfortable, with modern furniture as well as television and internet connections and a 24-hour nurse call system.

The home is divided into different suites, each of which has a lounge and a dining room, plus a kitchenette. We also have an activity room, a quiet room, a tea room and a hair salon. Outside are secure and spacious gardens, with different interconnected areas for your loved one to explore.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

At Tiltwood we support residents to be as independent as possible. Some residents enjoy helping around the home and in the garden, while others socialise and take part in activities together. We run a busy programme of activities, including art sessions, baking, film afternoons and reminiscence sessions.

Communication has been excellent since my loved one has been there, as has the all-round care. The feeling you get when you walk into the place is just lovely. Everyone is so friendly to family when they visit, but the way they are with my loved one just takes my breath away sometimes. The carers walk past and squeeze her shoulder or say her name with a big smile, they all know her, the level of care is excellent. She suffers with extreme anxiety, so the staff go above and beyond what's expected to make sure she is ok... they really know her and understand how to provide for her needs.

The staff and the care they provide is excellent. They go the extra mile, it's not just about attending to our loved one's needs, they make him feel special and loved. I visit regularly and get involved with the activities and outings… it's like a big family and I'm made to feel welcome and part of it. My loved one is encouraged to maximise his mobility, so they get him out in the garden and they come in on their days off to do some gardening with the residents.

I've been very surprised by the home, how polite and friendly everyone has been and how much attention they put into improving my loved one's quality of life. There is a wonderful selection of activities organised in the home and she joins in with everything. The kids can join in too when we visit, and they can see what she has been up to online. She is always well-presented when we visit and the staff all like her, that's very clear. They really take an interest and genuinely seem to understand what each resident is about and what they like.

The level of care is given is personalised and individualised to my mum. The staff are lovely, they are welcoming.
