Welcome to Mountfitchet House

Our care home in Stansted, Essex delivers round-the-clock nursing care and expert dementia and residential care, as well as sensitive and compassionate end of life care.

Mountfitchet House has two floors and is divided into four suites that create a ‘home within a home’. Each suite has its own beautifully furnished lounge, bistro-style dining room and set of bedrooms, all of which are individually styled and have en-suite facilities.

The skilled and dedicated team at Mountfitchet House get to know each resident as an individual. We tailor all aspects of their care and lifestyle to their unique needs and tastes. Every member of our team has undergone specialist dementia training to understand what it’s like to live with dementia.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

Here are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at Mountfitchet House care home.

They have all kinds of activities and entertainment options for the residents, every day, mornings and afternoons. The staff provide plenty of activities designed for people with different interests and capabilities, and they bring in entertainers and children from the local schools... so lovely that they have this option to engage with the outside world. Residents can choose what they want to participate in and the staff do their best to encourage involvement with things they enjoy.

The carers are lovely. They know all about our family and they speak with our loved one about things they know interest her. She has dementia, so it's wonderful the staff are able to speak with her about her life. They are always smiling and they make jokes with her... they treat her like family.

You are encouraged to be a large part of your loved one's life… the staff in the home are like an expansion of your own family. They really keep an eye open for my loved one, give her hugs and make sure she feels comfortable, they make sure she is eating properly and make special arrangements for food if there is nothing on the menu that she likes, they pay very close attention to her health, and we are involved in very detailed conversations with the nurses. It's just very personalised care that she receives... a quality that I did not see in other homes I visited.

They look after the residents well, the staff are helpful and the activities team do a great job! They also have a personal trainer who is very good.
