Welcome to Elwick Grange

Elwick Grange is a modern, purpose-built home close to the centre of Hartlepool. Our team provides high quality residential and dementia care.

The home is designed to provide the very best standards of care, with it's own luxury facilities including a cinema, café and hair salon, as well as stunning gardens. We also have our own minibus so we can enjoy regular days out to nearby attractions or further afield.

When you join us, we will work with you and your family to learn everything we can about your life history, needs, likes and dislikes. Then we’ll design care and activity plans tailored to your unique needs and preferences. We’re known for our talented chefs, and they’ll work with you to create bespoke menus.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

Our team in our Hartlepool care home takes a ‘can do’ approach to supporting your loved one to enjoy each day. We get to know your loved one like a member of our own family, then we set about making their time with us the best it can be, with group and one-to-one activities, outings and entertainment.

My walk arounds are some of my favourite times of the day, when I get to speak to residents and families. We have a brilliant team at Elwick Grange and the best thing about working here is being able to play a part in providing quality care to residents, and enabling them to live happy, fulfilling lives.

Here are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at Elwick Grange care home.

All sorts of activities are organised... they have crafts days, wine and cheese days, sing songs, family days, the bring in animals, baking days and sales… the staff always try to involve residents with whatever is going on at the home. They take the time to pop in and see my loved one if she is having a quiet day and they do things above and beyond the job role... one of the carers offers to do her hair sometimes, just because she knows my loved one likes it.

The staff are brilliant and they do everything they can to make sure the residents are happy. They always listen to the residents and involve them in any decisions that need to be made from day to day. They genuinely care about the residents and nothing is too much trouble.

They show a lot of affection to my loved one, they are always interested in what she is doing and they make her feel valued and loved. And they make us feel so welcome, like part of the family, part of the care home, and it is such a comfortable environment... it has an air of tranquility.

The caring is great for mam. She was in a care home previously and she was neglected and we moved her to Elwick Grange and it has been perfect for her. Her mood has picked up and we know they are doing a good job.
