Cairdean House in Colinton, Edinburgh, provides person-centered care that helps residents live meaningful lives. Our skilled and compassionate team provide exceptional nursing, residential and dementia care. We also offer short-term respite and specialised end-of-life care.

We believe that living in a care home should be just as good as living in your own home – or better. Our home has a hair and beauty salon, coffee shop, and cinema, along with lovely gardens and outdoor terrace areas, so residents can continue to enjoy the very best lifestyle. We also love to get residents involved in group and one-to-one activities to ensure their day is filled with variety.

We believe that moving into a care home is just another part of life, and your loved one should be free to continue enjoying lifelong hobbies and enjoyable outings, and even to try out new interests and experiences. We get out and about around Edinburgh, and the surrounding areas. We also love welcoming the community into our home - whether it's youngsters from the local schools, the local army or exotic animals for residents to meet!

The home is welcoming, comfortable and well presented, like a hotel. It's always clean and tidy and you feel welcomed as soon as you walk through the door. There is a nice cafeteria with a lovely atmosphere, which is a nice place for visitors to spend time with their loved ones.
